The final step before going live is to connect your Mokka role setup with your ATS and candidate communications. This section now offers a collapsed view, providing a smart summary and indicating if default settings have been applied.
🔗 ATS Stage Mapping
Mokka has a fixed set of internal candidate statuses. Mapping tells Mokka which stage in your ATS each Mokka status should sync to.
Mokka statuses you map to ATS stages:
- New
- Hold
- Shortlisted
- Hired
- Test task sent (only if test task is enabled)
- Test task received (only if test task is enabled)
- To Reject in ATS (only if your ATS doesn't have a native rejection action)
- Auto-rejected
- Rejected
For each Mokka status you pick the ATS stage you want candidates to land in. There is no requirement that your ATS has a stage with the same name — pick whatever stage in your ATS makes the most sense.
If your ATS doesn't have an equivalent stage for a Mokka status (for example, your ATS has no "Hold" stage):
- Pick any existing ATS stage you'd like candidates in that Mokka status to land in (for example, map Mokka Hold → your ATS's "Applied" or "Sourced"). Mokka will move the candidate to that stage in your ATS whenever the Mokka status changes — no sync error.
- Or pick "Don't sync" if you don't want this Mokka status reflected in your ATS at all. The candidate stays in their current ATS stage; Mokka just records the status internally.
- You can change the mapping any time from the role's Final Steps screen.
For Rejected and Auto-rejected, if rejection reasons are enabled in your ATS, you'll also pick the rejection reason that should be applied.
This ensures candidates move seamlessly between systems without manual updates.
📧 Customizing Emails
By default, email invitations and reminders are pre-built and ready to use.
If you want, you may customize emails to include your own wording, branding, or additional context.
Personalization fields (e.g., Candidate Name, Role Name) are available to make emails dynamic.
▶️ Go Live
Once everything is mapped and configured:
Click Launch Role to activate.
Candidates applying through your ATS will automatically be prescreened by Mokka.
Invitations and reminders will be handled according to your settings.
📌 Tips for Recruiters
Double-check rejection reasons mapping if you’re using them — this prevents sync errors.
You can always return and adjust mappings or email templates later.
Use default email templates unless there’s a strong reason to customize.
