How to Connect Mokka with Pinpoint

  • Syncs evaluations back to Pinpoint automatically

Prerequisites

Before connecting, you'll need:

  1. A Mokka account - Sign up at gomokka.com
  2. Pinpoint API key - Generated from the API & Webhooks page in your Pinpoint admin settings
How to Get Your Pinpoint API Key
  1. Sign in to your Pinpoint account at pinpointhq.com and go to Settings
  2. Click API & Webhooks in the settings menu
  3. On the API Keys tab, click Create API Key
  4. Name the key (e.g., "Mokka Integration") and assign permissions for: Applications, Candidates, Jobs, Hiring Workflows, and Users
  5. Copy the API key value — you'll need it in the next step

Make sure the Pinpoint API toggle (top-right of the API & Webhooks page) is enabled. See Pinpoint's authentication guide for details.

Setup Steps

Open Mokka Settings
  1. Log into your Mokka account
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations
  3. Find Pinpoint in the list of available integrations

Enter Your API Key
  1. Click Connect Pinpoint
  2. Paste your Pinpoint API key
  3. Click Save

Select Jobs to Sync
  1. After connecting, you'll see your Pinpoint jobs
  2. Select which jobs you want Mokka to screen candidates for
  3. Click Enable Screening
That's it!

Mokka will now automatically sync and score candidates from your selected Pinpoint jobs.

Sync Frequency:

  • Initial sync: All existing candidates are synced when you connect
  • Ongoing sync: New candidates are synced automatically (typically within minutes)

Using the Rejection Feature

One of the key benefits of the Mokka-Pinpoint integration is the ability to reject candidates directly from Mokka.

To Reject a Candidate:
  1. Open the candidate in Mokka
  2. Review their AI-generated score and summary
  3. Click Reject
  4. Select a rejection reason (synced from Pinpoint)
  5. Click Confirm

The rejection is automatically synced back to Pinpoint, including the rejection reason you selected.

Rejection Reasons:

Mokka uses your existing Pinpoint rejection reasons. To add or modify rejection reasons:

  1. Go to Pinpoint → Settings → Hiring Process
  2. Open Rejection Reasons
  3. Add or edit reasons as needed
  4. Mokka will sync the updated reasons automatically

Troubleshooting

"API key invalid" error
  • Ensure you copied the entire API key without extra spaces
  • Check that the Pinpoint API toggle is enabled in Settings → API & Webhooks
  • Verify the API key hasn't been revoked — generate a new one if needed
Candidates not syncing
  • Verify the job is enabled for screening in Mokka
  • Check that the API key has permissions for Applications and Candidates
  • Wait a few minutes — sync may be in progress
Rejection not appearing in Pinpoint
  • Ensure you selected a rejection reason in Mokka
  • Wait 1-2 minutes for sync to complete
  • Check the candidate's application in Pinpoint to confirm status
